Tired. Frustrated. Determined. Three emotions our boys feel while doing their push-ups. As you look out to the football field and see the boys down together doing their push-ups you sense a feeling of unity, something that is special about this year’s team. With a new coaching staff this year’s football team has a bright future.

The new head coach, Mark Dodge, speaks high praises of our boys. “The football team has made great strides this year so far. One thing that we have established as a team is that we are tough and physical. This is going to be a great year. We will battle against the toughest teams in the state. I think a great goal is to make the playoffs. If we make the playoffs we have a good shot at bringing home a trophy.” This season started off with a win, a good way to set the tone. The new staff members brings new opportunities for the team to grow. We are very excited to see what the football team will accomplish.

This week our boys have a bye, giving them some time to rest to prepare to battle against Challis for the homecoming game. We will be fighting against the rival team after all the celebrations on Friday night. Senior player, Raymond Stone talks about the game saying, “This game will be the most intense game I will ever play in… I hope there is a huge crowd there to back us up!” Since it is homecoming, we want all the people that can come to support the team. The boys would love to see you all there cheering them one! Come cheer with us while our boys strut their stuff!
