Meet Mr. Bill Van Dyke

Kayci Younger, Editor

With a cattle prod and lots of threats, Mr. Van Dyke pushes his students to go above and beyond. He is the new business teacher and BPA advisor here at GHS.

Growing up in Cache Valley, the youngest of six kids, he grew to love the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and rock climbing. After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Paraguay, he returned home and attended USU where he earned two Bachelor’s Degrees in Spanish and Business.

Following college and his travels around the world, he married his wife, Katie. Now they have two kids, Tyla who is four and Bodie who is two week’s old. Mr. Van Dyke decided to become a teacher after finally listening to his wife, who has been telling him he should be a teacher for years now.

Mr. Van Dyke believes that. His main goal for this upcoming school year is to help his students achieve more than they think they can.

It is best to give students the tools they need and let them go to work”

— Bill Van Dyke

He is excited to be teaching here at Grace and is looking forward to getting to know all of you!
